CHIMELONG: CIRCUS!

After dinner we headed to the CIRCUS! :D

Chimelong International Circus ~

Ended up paying an extra 50RMB on top of the 300RMB we already paid...
Weren't even the best seats... the middle section was an extra 200RMB...

Bumped into this guy while I was waiting for the show to start.

POPCORN! I've fallen in love with caramel and chocolate flavoured popcorn since I've been here.

Finally starting!
It was raining inside.. just joking! It's just some glittery stuff.

It was so beautiful ~

There were people inside these bubbles that can split in half without any safety harness.

& then some more intense stuff!

CHIMELONG: SAFARI PARK!

After going to the amusement park and waterpark at Chimelong back in summer 2007 I've been wanting to see their circus act, so the past weekend I made a trip back to Guangzhou again... (yes, I go back very often!) for the safari park and the circus!

Excited to meet some pandas! :)

But first we met some monkeys!
(People say we look alike. Do we?)

Next stop: tigers!

The mascot was too cute... I just had to :(

Patiently waiting for these little girls to finish with their pictureS...

I got too excited...

Hehee, finally my turn!
(he pushed me away after a few pictures... I was so sad)

& then the real tigers!

What I have been waiting for... the pandas!

Not these ones...

This one!! It was rolling over, so cute! :D

 More pandas :)

I wanted to ride an elephant, but they all just showed me their big booty. :(

Last stop: the giraffes! (this would've been such a nice picture if I didn't blink!)
Btw... I did see real giraffes.

I actually saw a lot of other animals that day, but it was so crowded I didn't take pictures of everything. Stay tuned for my next post of the circus :)

CHEUNG CHAU ISLAND!

I went to visit this small village on Cheung Chau Island for a little tour around the place and some local food!

Made it to Cheung Chau Island after a long 45min ferry ride!

Locals on this island usually bikes everywhere, but since I don't know how to ride a bike we had to walk... whoops!

The island was surrounded by all these little boats!

First stop: Cheung Po Tsai Cave.
So.. we went inside this small gap inbetween the rocks.

And we came out of this tiny tiny gap here.

Safely made it out of the cave! YEE!
Right as we got out of the cave some other tourists wanted to help us take a picture!

After some more hiking we made it to the top of the rock and San decides that he wants to climb up some massive rock on the other side so we waited here cause we weren't about that risky life!

Deonne and I watching San climb on the other side!

He made it (safely)!

On our way down to the beach we found this! The "Lock of Love"... I guess they have love locks everywhere now.

Next stop: the beach!

This time I did step on the sand, but with my socks on :)

After the beach we stopped for some snacks! Fresh mango mochi!
A huge piece of mango with a really thin wrapper :P (beats HFT mango mochi anyday)

& giant fish balls right before our ferry ride back (time for another 45min nap) !

WHEN IN GZ: CHINESE NEW YEAR!

Chinese New Year Eve ~

Because I'm the year of the dog :)

Went to get some fresh flowers for the house at the flower market!

So many people! Too many ladies pushing with their shopping trolley.

The very muddy streets filled with garbage!

五代同堂!

One of the many things we picked up that day!

The other kind of flower market!

It's 阿肥 & 阿四!

Having pun choi for my second Chinese New Year's eve dinner that day!

Of course ending the night with tong yuen! Green tea and black sesame flavoured. YUMMY :P
(I had this almost every single night when I was in GZ cause it was just too good!)

Chinese New Year!

Went to the temple and the people...

Just some of my red pockets :D

Treating my cousin to afternoon tea :)

First dinner of the night.
Had two family gatherings a day for almost everyday.. too much food!

How I feel about waking up at 7am almost everyday for family events.
